Curriculum

Hampton Township School District employs the Understanding by Design (UbD) Framework to guide its’ curriculum mapping process. The UbD framework requires the determination of essential knowledge, skills, and understandings for all grade levels and courses. Additionally, the HTSD curriculum addresses the grade level and content standards outlined by the state of Pennsylvania.  

Pennsylvania’s standards provide a set of academic expectations that students are expected to demonstrate by the end of each grade level. The PA Academic Standards inform curriculum development for all courses. The Pennsylvania Department of Education has adopted the Standards-Aligned System to support the district with curriculum and instruction. The PA Academic Standards can be found here.
