The Talbot Exhibition: Learning That Matters

A Community Celebration of Student Growth
Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026
Time: 6:00–8:00 PM
Location: Hampton High School Library Media Center (enter through Door 26)

What is the Talbot Exhibition?

The Talbot Exhibition: Learning That Matters is Hampton Township School District’s second annual celebration of authentic, student-centered learning. Held as part of Remake Learning Days, this inspiring event brings together students, families, educators, and community members for an evening that honors the creativity, curiosity, and perseverance of our learners.

Rooted in the competencies of our Portrait of a Talbot - Collaboration, Empathy, Communication, Critical Thinking, Learner’s Mindset, and Perseverance- this exhibition shines a light on how students are growing into skilled, compassionate, and future-ready individuals.

Why It Matters

The Talbot Exhibition is not about perfect products. It is about:

  • Process over polish – Students share their learning journey, not just the final result.

  • Voice and choice – Each presentation reflects student interest, agency, and ownership.

  • Celebrating growth – Projects demonstrate progress, problem-solving, and passion.

  • Making learning visible – Family and community members gain insight into how learning takes shape in and beyond the classroom.

What to Expect on May 7

Visitors will experience:
  • Unique student presentations representing a wide range of interests and disciplines.
  • Participation from grades 3–12 across all five Hampton schools.

  • Projects spanning the arts, sciences, humanities, design, career exploration, robotics, and more.

  • Performances, interactive demonstrations, and student-led displays.

  • A welcoming, inclusive atmosphere for all guests.

A Special Experience for Younger Guests

Children are invited to take part in the Talbot Expedition of Learning, a playful and interactive way to explore the Exhibition through the lens of our six Portrait of a Talbot traits.
  • Kids will receive a special Expedition of Learning booklet upon arrival.
  • As they engage with exhibits, they can collect stickers representing each core competency.
  • The booklet includes fun prompts and reflection questions to deepen connections.
This experience helps younger guests see themselves as learners and community members growing in the same traits we value across the district.
